A good timeline of what happened in Diablo 3 in the first year.
Of special note:
Time between patches has increased 50+%, while getting smaller.
Time between earlier patches was around 1.5-2 months, now it is around 2.5 months.
Earlier we got patches like 1.0.4 with paragon levels and 1.0.5 with monster power.
Now we get patches like 1.0.6 with Battle.net updates (awesome!), 1.0.7 with PVP (dueling, lol!) and 1.0.8 with "Quality of life improvements", aka mob density changes.

September 2013: 1.0.9 - Added 1 extra dialogue option to followers
February 2014: 1.0.10 - Added ability increase font size in chat
August 2014: 1.0.11 - Changed icon for less used skills to encourage build diversity.
