Continuing the tradition of off the map wizard builds, these last few days I have had a lot of fun with this new build. I have focused on legendaries before, when patch 1.0.4 was announced and had its patch notes released. In 1.0.4 we saw a lot of legendary items be improved and they introduced legendaries, that you might actually want to be building your character around…so that is what I did!

Well, kinda what I did. I got a great deal on a decent legendary two-hander, and have been running around with it these last few days, and I have been having a lot of fun with it!

Patch 1.0.5 will release tuesday morning | One step closer to PVP

Blizzard are bringing down the PTR tonight and will roll out the patch tuesday morning, US-time. This was confirmed by Lylirra 8 hours ago:

Diablo 3 patch 1.0.5 release tuesday

Patch 1.0.5 will finally release. Prepare yourself for wiping on MP10!

Patch 1.0.5 releases this tuesday? | Scheduled downtime says so

This coming tuesday a shceduled downtime of roughly 8 hours has been planned.

With the recent minor bugfixes to the patchnotes for 1.0.5, this could very well indicate that we will see patch 1.0.5 hit this upcoming tuesday.

As mentioned on this site, the most exciting parts of this patch is the Infernal Machine and the Keywardens (that sounds like a band), which allows you to craft the Hellfire ring. This ties in closely with the new monster power setting, which was recently explained in more detail on the official blog.

How to get the Hellfire Ring in Diablo 3

A couple of days ago, I wrote about crafting the Infernal Machine and how to find the keywardens.

With an Infernal Machine, you are ready to enter three different realms, where each realm contains 2 uberbosses. These uberbosses drop loot and they also have a a chance to drop parts for the Hellfire Ring. A new awesome ring introduced in patch 1.0.5.

Diablo 3 monster power levels explained

Just quick update today, but from next week we are back to a normal schedule!

I wrote about Monster power earlier in my article about the D3 infernal machine and monster power levels and while patch 1.0.5 doesn’t look to be quite as big a change as patch 1.0.4 was, there will be a lot of changes.

Defensive changes, but also changes to loot and gameplay are the order of the day in the next patch.

Patch and patch notes for patch 1.0.4 is out and what a patch!

The auction house was improved, elite packs got easier, loot got buffed, classes got buffed and most importantly: paragon levels were introduced!

The 100 paragon levels make sure, that even if your loot sucks at the end of a farming run, you will still have gained quite a bit of paragon XP, so you still have something to show for your time. But how do you level paragon levels fast?

Patch 1.0.4 introduces hero levels: the Paragon system

The patch 1.0.4 hype machine has been going non-stop for the last two weeks. One thing is all the 1.0.4 changes to the classes that have been announced, another are the huge buffs to legendary items or the system changes to loot, mob health and enrage timers. Those were enough to get me excited about patch 1.0.4….but there is so much more to it; including a new endgame!

Diablo 3 wizard exploit – unlimited invulnerability

New D3 wizard exploit appears. Use it while you can

Basically this lets you become invulnerable until you log out. As you might imagine it makes for some pretty unbalanced gameplay!

A new wizard exploit has surfaced in Diablo 3, which allows you to be invulnerable as long as you wish. As with any exploit, use it while you can.

The exploit appeared less than 24 hours ago, and it will be hotfixed very soon. While I don’t think Blizzard will be doing rollbacks for it or banning people for using it, you never know. So use it at your own risk!

How I run Arreat Craters on NM

Recently I wrote a guide to my favorite Diablo 3 gold farming spot and while it was pretty detailed, you can’t really beat a good old fashioned Youtube video! So I have finally made a video of a typical run.

While it isn’t anything fancy, it shows my general method, what to do and what to avoid. As always, your mileage may vary, so try different things and do what works for you and your skill build.
