EU RMAH delayed for a few days. New launch date is in a couple of days
As I wrote about yesterday, the release date of the RMAH was just around the corner. I also said I would be surprised if it actually launched on time.
Lo and behold the US RMAH did actually go live a couple of hours later, but the EU RMAH didn’t disappoint and was pushed a few more days. So I was both right and wrong. The fact that Blizzard decides to push the RMAH launch date two more days in the EU, doesn’t really make any sense. Unless of course they don’t have the manpower to handle two simultaneous AH launches. And with the disaster that has been the Diablo 3 launch, I do believe that is the case! Rather than trying to sit on two chairs, Blizzard has opted to go for one and sit real good…..or as well as they can.
New EU RMAH launch is 15th of June….so far
So this morning when I checked in the AH, I was not really surprised to see that the EU AH has been pushed two more days and that the new launch date for the RMAH is 15th of June.

Is this enough time for Blizzard to get the US RMAH up and running properly? I doubt it and I wouldn’t be surprised if the EU RMAH was pushed a few more days or at least until early friday CET. This still leaves Blizzard with a running EU RMAH over the weekend.
We’ll just have to wait and see. Hopefully Blizzard won’t prove me right once again and delay the AH. With the action we are seeing on the US RMAH, you really need to strike while the iron is hot.
