Liquid Rainbow, Leoric’s Shinbone, Wirt’s Bell, Black Mushroom, Gibbering Gemstone…oh my!

I have continued leveling my monk and find it smooth sailing. I am long past act 2, where you find the liquid rainbow. As I said earlier today in my post about Leoric’s Shinbone and the secret cow level the liquid rainbow is needed for making the Staff of Herding:

The other things you need are the liquid rainbow, as I mentioned earlier:

The Black Mushroom, which you find in the Cathedral in act 1:

Leoric’s Shinbone, which you find in Leoric’s mansion in the fireplace in the right room:

Wirt’s Bell, which you buy at a merchant for 100,000 gold:

And finally the gibbering gemstone, which is a drop from a rare mob, Chiltara, in Frozen Cave:

In order to do this, you need a healthy dose of luck and gold. And as if that is not all…you need to do it in every act you want to access the cow level in. Good luck getting to the inferno difficulty secret cow level.

Actually, it isn’t even supposed to be cows in the secret level. There is talk about unicorns farting rainbows, which makes perfect sense with the liquid rainbows!

Monk – The best class for leveling in D3?

I have played my monk exclusively these last few days, and I am very impressed with his ability to level up fast. If have specced defensively and have just started gemming him up. I am not going to put a lot of time in to his gear, since I will out level it fast. But it does feel like he is ahead of the leveling curve, because he does level fast with very little downtime. As I talked about earlier, for the monk is the best class for leveling and farming, since he just keeps going and keeps going fast!

In the later parts of Act 3, you do need to start micro’ing a bit to not die, but we are talking “don’t stand in fire”-stuff. Oh, and “molten” subtype elites and boss-packs are a pain in the ass, if you are up against runners!
